Air Ministry Mirror 1958

Superb example of post-war furniture.

Marked both by craftsmanship and functional practicality - with a design that carries echoes of Edward Barnsley and the Arts and Crafts movement - this elegant mirror, crafted for the mid century Air Force, brings together simple lines and composed proportions with a robust solid base and steady tilt mirror.

For collectors, or period re-enactors needing authentic post-World War II items, this oak-framed mirror is a must-have. In remarkable good vintage order, there are no breaks or repairs to the frame and the mirror sits firm.

The mirror base bears the Queen's Crown with the AM logo, plus further stamped references of acquisition for Air Force quarters.

This swing mirror, in lovely condition and a generous size, is in great condition: no cracks, no blacking, no damage to glass rear or front.

A stylish mid-century piece of Air Ministry furniture ready to place.
