Refectory / Farmhouse Table 9ft long 10-seat aged Solid pine
A friend to generations, this beautiful, solid Pitch-pine
refectory/farmhouse table is a genuinely used family dining table. Now,
this stunningly aged table - with its heaps of character - needs a new
loving home.
The table wear is not made to reproduce age: warm
colours, patina and surface textures are gained from years in the heart
of the home.
The table is solidly constructed: large balustrade
legs have a thickness of over 50cm. The edges are cleated adding
stability to table ends. The table height is 77cm, width is a generous
99cm, and the length is one inch shy of 9 foot. Knee clearance is 60cm.
Depth of wood on table top is 4.5cm. The stretcher is from a substantial
single wood block. Eight to ten people can be accommodated round this 4
pine-plank table; 12 can be seated with two places settings at either
end.
You can arrange the table for gatherings both inside and
outside. Decorated simply or grandly, this item makes for impressive
moments in all celebrations and events.
Our table was acquired
some time ago and we have no written record of the origin; it is
possible it has been in a public school in England. It is clean, waxed,
and ready for transportation to its new location.
Please
double-check measurements to be sure that you can accommodate this
extra-large item. The top lifts from the base; you will need at least 2
people to lift the top. The base can be carried best by 3 to 4 people.
