This delightful bistro table, originally sourced from Paris, acquired
some decades ago, kept in great
condition indoors in a French Brittany cottage, shabby chic setting.
Still looking fantastic, it's yours for sunny days in courtyards and
on patios; in conservatories and sun-lit spots in the home; or on
balconies and verandas, cottage to townhouse.
Early 20th century
in origin, the table folds flat - very easy for storage - and is simple
to set up; a little hook slides effortlessly to lock a leg in place and
stabilise the table, ready for your Bordeaux.
Three legs have
petite curled feet; two additional bars provide stability with charming
decorative style. Delightful, elegant, and looking very French!
The
weathered white paint is original, and we have simply cleaned to show
the many layers to best effect, leaving a complex and beautiful patina
of age and use. The table is of metal and shows a historic mend of
papier mache on the underside, painted for protection. An investment
piece that can only grow in value.
All in all, an evocative, sought-after item, bringing age and character to any setting.
