Aged wood with gleaming depth - showing years of maker's use through multiple pin marks - this lovely form is not only useful for the practising milliner, it looks simply beautiful as a decorative item on shelf or dresser.

This block has already had a working life and developed the patina of use, shown through knocks, marks of handling, pin points, and a gentle repair to the stand. It stands firm, with felt base.

Made in Germany, and stamped beneath 'Riefenstahl & Co Wuppertal' the hat block bears the numbers: 937.

A beautiful, showcase piece of millinery history in a shape that is rarely found. Ideal for a home setting, and for retail or period shop display.
