This antique rack, attached to your entry wall, will make a grand statement on its own. You'll need a generous circulating space - the top shelf alone is made from a single piece of wood 180cm by 30cm with a thickness of 3cm, ensuring the whole look is of large scale, indicating grand interiors.

Perhaps once placed in serving quarters or by the trades entrance to a large estate house, the wood has worn well over the years. While there are gentle marks of age, the whole is in good condition. Recess points suggest a back panel was once in place. Detached from this, over time, the wooden support for the iron hooks has bowed a little, adding age and a vintage appeal to the whole. The rack has previously been painted a warm red, some of which remains in place and works to great impact against the orange glow of the wood. Seven hooks remain in good firm condition with brass screws evident. The side panels are decoratively carved.

The unit has been cleaned and waxed. There is no evidence of worm or damp to the wood, suggesting the piece has been in place for some time in a stable environment, away from knocks and bruises.
